When the Empire State Games came to the Mohawk Valley, it would be the first time the event was held at multiple facilities rather than one large venue. This presented unique logistical challenges, not the least of which were keeping the press informed and the spectators headed in the right directions. The event was an overwhelming success, garnering excellent media placement and massive positive economic impact for the region.
